Our Events:

The Fort Worth Airpower Council is the nation’s oldest military support organization, founded in 1958 by Frank Kent. We are engaged daily in supporting the families of the military reserve and National Guard units based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS-JRB) Fort Worth and the families of the severely injured now recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Americans who leave their civilian jobs to fight the war on terror or to deploy to disasters around the world often take severe pay cuts, up to 50% or more. Making ends meet for their families left behind quickly becomes difficult. Because of generous Americans attending our events, the Fort Worth Airpower Council is able to offer financial assistance and volunteers to respond to those needs.

Money from our events helps solve many crisis situations. The council provides hundreds of thousands dollars to the Morale/Welfare and Contingency groups serving units of the Air Force, Navy and Marines based at the JRB. That money is bolstered by volunteers who negotiate and solve utility, mortgage and other financial difficulties facing the families of our deployed troops, on a private, individual case-by-case basis. Event money has literally kept food on the table for some families, providing thousands of dollars of food vouchers and gift cards during the past year.
